On the latest episode of the Acid Pop Cult Podcast, Hank and Jason offer up a quick two-man show. Hanks offers up his take on the best and worst of rock in 2016, along with his hopes for the new year. Jason soon chimes in with some of his favorite live shows of the year and a look ahead at who he hopes to see take the stage in 2017. They cap off the episode with a look at Seth McFarlane’s (EDITOR’S NOTE: Yeah… we’re gonna go ahead and let you know it is Rogen’s) “Sausage Party.” Spread the word, leave a review and be sure to subscribe to the show on iTunes for our continuing adventures!
This week Jeremy and Jason are joined by Chris while Lee takes time away to puke and poop a lot. Jason preps us for the upcoming trade and add/drop round in the Bad Karma Body Count, Chris reviews the new Supersuckers and Viogression releases, and also tells us why we should be listening to The Spaghetti Family podcast, and finally Jeremy (barely) keeps the Blaxploitation train moving forward in Lee’s absence with a look into the first “real” African American portrayed in comics, Neal Adam’s John Stewart aka Green Lantern. This, of course, is hot off the heels of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson teasing his fans with the idea of his being cast as John Stewart in an upcoming DC flick. Jason and Jeremy wax poetic about who they’d rather see cast as the coolest Green Lantern. Spoiler Alert, Jeremy’s choice is in the title of the episode. Also, fun game to play at home, guess when Chris falls asleep, and a few other chances to win something are wrapped up in the stellar edition of Acid Pop Cult. Don’t like how long our episode (or episode descriptions) run? Fuck you. Why else would Jewish God create the pause button. ENJOY!
This week Jeremy doesn’t keep things short about Man of Steel. Jeremy and Lee both get erections over Safety Last. Chris talks about seeing This is the End, Paradise Lost: Purgatory, and a Pussy Riot doc. Lee brings two of his own docs called Knuckleball and Square Grouper. They pimp the new Tiffany Shepis kickstarter, a sequel to the Night of the Demons remake, written by her hubby Sean Tretta. And the boys try to guilt Icon vs. Icon into helping out. Buckle up. It’s LONG!
This week Lee and Chris bust Jeremy’s balls over Aquaman for 20 minutes before the show even starts. Once things settle down, they boys talk about Black Sabbath and CSI, movies to watch like The Watch, Fat Kid Rules The World,
Evil Dead Remake Evil Head from Burning Angel, Doug Sakmann, and Tommy Pistol, Casa De Mi Padre, Cheech and Chong’s Animated Movie, Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie, Bachelorette, How hot Lizzy Caplan is (and Adam Scott), Fifty Pills, more Aquaman, music and its scientific influence, and even more Aquaman.
